Sherlock is awesome!
Hee Hee!
I’m interested to know why you don’t want to watch it. It’s really well done. Doctor Who takes some getting used to,…
Well that makes sense when it comes to Doctor Who for sure. And I’m glad things are going okay with the therapist!
I guess I never thought of House in connection to Sherlock Holmes really. :)
Things aren’t going totally ok. I go once every two weeks but it’s hard enough to have to touch upon old wounds. I’m fraked lol
And House actually was written as a modern update of Sherlock Holmes. That’s how the creators and writers advertised it when it first started. Instead of crimes and mysteries and the like, House investigated medical mysteries along with his Watson Dr. Wilson. They even mention it in the some of the audio commentaries for the earlier episodes.

lol
I refuse to watch Dr Who on the basis that it’s my ex’s favorite show (same reason why I hate the Fast and Furious movies, the High School Musical Movies, Mustangs, and Godzilla movies, oh and Anime.. but I didn’t like Anime before I met him so this just adds more to the displeasure of it).
And I could use with less reminders of him.
I’ve actually been seeing a therapist for the last couple of months and we’ve touched upon the subject of my relationship with him and turns out that in my therapists profession opinion, it was an abusive one. Not physical but mental and emotional, and I’m still trying to come to terms with that because while I know she’s right, I’m still having a hard time seeing it.
As for Sherlock, I read the books (articles? stories? what exactly do I call them? serials?) when I was in High School and enjoyed them to an extent.
I think House is the best modern adaptation of the idea of Sherlock Holmes. And why mess with something good?

Sherlock is actually really boring in my personal opinion. I can see how it’s appealing to some, but I can’t wrap my head around the show at all.
Call me a purist but I’m going to stick with the books.
Plus what’s-his-face’s face kinda creeps me out.
That and House was so much more interesting.

And I don’t plan on it.
