Yeah! Heh. I think if you have a defined and informed opinion on anything, you’ll have people who don’t like your opinion and disagree with you. But I think that’s preferable to being totally passive, right?!
That’s the crazy thing with any fandom. You say you like one thing but not the other, someone is going to get pissed about it.
Hell if I started saying that I lover everything about one specific thing, then someone is going to get pissed about it.
But if one can fully express why they dislike something with words other than “I just don’t like it” and not explain why, then yes be pissed off about it. That’s like saying I don’t like eggplant because it’s purple.
Or worse, my favorite circular argument (which is actually true for me). I hate Pickles because they taste like Dill and I hate Dill because it reminds me of Pickles.
All in all I think it’s better to have a fully voiced opinion than to being totally passive, but if you can’t explain yourself, reason your side, then yeah- stay quiet.
